Mrs. Cochran achieved her Bachelor of Arts in elementary education from the College of William and Mary. A Springfield native, she taught in public schools in Fluvanna County and Charlottesville City before moving to Western Branch in 1989. She is now in her 18th year of teaching at Green Acres.
Kelly and her husband, Jim, have two daughters, Amy and Sarah. Amy is a senior at the University of Virginia, while Sarah lives and works as a teacher in Brighton, England.
Kelly loves to travel, read, and spend time at the beach. She and Jim always look forward to opportunities to visit Charlottesville and the UK.
Mrs. Johnson earned her Bachelor of Arts in speech pathology, followed by a Master’s in elementary education, both from Old Dominion University. She taught kindergarten, first, and second grade in Chesapeake Public Schools before coming to Green Acres Preschool in 2018.
Blair loves spending time with her husband and their two children, Brady and Caroline. Caroline is in preschool, while her big brother Brady is an elementary schooler.
Blair says she’s excited to be a part of the Green Acres Preschool family. When she’s not in her classroom or with her family, Blair enjoys gardening.
Mrs. Caflisch first earned her Bachelor’s of Science in Elementary Education, then a Master’s in Curriculum Studies, both from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. She is rated “highy qualified” to teach grades pre-K through nine in both Hawaii and Virginia.
Mrs. Caflisch spent her first year teaching 3rd Grade, then grades 5, 6, 7, and 8 over the course of a decade. Mrs. Caflisch describes her many accomplishments during her education career as “wonderful opportunities” including leadership, curriculum development, and mentoring teachers and students at the grade, school, and district levels.
Victoria has enjoyed her past five years as a stay-at-home mom but also missed being a teacher immensely. Now that her children are both attending Green Acres Preschool, she is excited to be returning to the classroom as well.
