Program Overview:
Green Acres Preschool was set up thirty-five years ago as a community
outreach of Green Acres Presbyterian Church. The Preschool employs all College-Degree State-Certified teachers,
is fully licensed, and follows all regulations of the Virginia Department of Childcare.
The classrooms are spacious and fully supported with many educational and age-appropriate manipulatives and toys.
Each classroom is equipped with its own computer.
A well-equipped enclosed outdoor playground is available that promotes safety as well as lots of fun. Also
available is an inside Fellowship Hall that can be used when weather does not permit outside play.
Preschool Schedule and Information:
Three year olds Four year olds:
Mon., Tues., & Thurs. Mon., Tues., & Thurs.
9:00 AM -- 12:00 noon 9:00 AM -- 12:00 noon
Age Requirements: Licensing regulations require that preschool classes be structured according to age and that
your child should be either three or four (depending on class enrolled in) by September 30 of current year. There
are no exceptions to this policy.
Class Size: In order to provide individual attention to all students, both 3 & 4 year old classes will be
limited to ten children per class. At this time 40 children can be enrolled in the program.
Beginning & Ending Dates: Classes begin the Thursday after Labor Day and end the Thursday preceding Memorial
Day.
