Mission and nurture for those in our community and far away
are important activities for the Green Acres family.
Working through the Witness Committee of the Session, we
are active in a number of areas.
Our members have made mission trips to Mexico, to Appalachia, and to Katrina-ravaged
Mississippi to assist in construction and repair projects. We maintain a sister
church relationship with a Presbyterian church in Congo, and assist them with some
of their projects.
Many of us participate in local activities including Meals-on-Wheels,
feeding of the needy at Oasis and the Homeless Shelter, providing transportation for those unable to drive, and
preparing meals for AIDS patients.
Mission activities at Green Acres are funded in part by sale
of coffee from the Presbyterian Coffee Project and by our annual Rummage Sale.
Get involved in mission at our church! We have more than
enough work for everyone.
