At the end of this month, 18 middle school youth and their chaperones will be traveling to Raleigh, NC, to work with Raleigh Youth Missions. This is an affiliate of the Asheville Youth Mission and Memphis Youth Mission groups that we have assisted the last couple of years. During the week, we will do a lot of relational ministry working with the homeless population, soup kitchens, food pantries, at risk children, special needs folks and the elderly. We will also do some hands on ministry through house cleaning, painting, landscaping, etc. The youth will spend the evenings in bible study, worship and prayer, as well as learning about the community they are serving in. This will be an eye opening and humbling experience for our youth, and will teach the importance of showing God’s love, and helping those around us who are less fortunate, even if it takes us out of our comfort zones. Please be in prayer for these young people as they prepare their hearts and minds for this adventure, as well as, during the week of June 24-29, that our work will be safe and meaningful. Thank you all for the prayers, encouragement, support and love you have offered to help make this trip possible!
