Maundy Thursday Service – March 29

Maundy Thursday communion will be observed as part of a chancel drama based on Da Vinci’s Last Supper fresco, painted in 1497 on the wall of a Milan convent. The scene depicts the moment that Jesus announced that one of the disciples would betray him. The dialogue of the play was written by Rev. Ernest Emurian, an author and Methodist pastor serving Elm Street Methodist Church of Portsmouth in 1954. Dr. Curran has adapted the drama for contemporary use and includes hymns and the Lord’s Supper.
